Wutaishan Scenic Area: Tourist Reopening Commences from March 25th
China.cn March 25th – The Management Committee of Mount Wutaishan announced that, starting from 0:00 on March 25, 2020, the open-air tourism areas of Mount Wutaishan Scenic Area have been restored to operation, while temples will remain temporarily closed, with reopening dates to be announced later.


Mount Wutaishan Scenic Area emphasized that during the reopening period, real-time monitoring of tourist density will be conducted within the scenic area. The Management Committee of Mount Wutaishan Scenic Area also announced that, starting from the date of the scenic area's reopening, all medical personnel nationwide will be granted preferential ticket discounts upon presenting their valid identification and proof of direct relatives (with supporting documentation).
It is understood that this reopening of Mount Wutaishan is initially limited to a daily reception capacity of no more than 20,000 visitors, with each tour group not exceeding 30 people. Mount Wutaishan Scenic Area stated that tourists should maintain a certain distance during their visits to the scenic area to avoid gatherings.
It is reported that Mount Wutaishan Scenic Area currently does not accept on-site ticket purchases. Tourists must purchase tickets online with their real names, holding valid ID cards. All visitors entering the scenic area must wear masks and other personal protective equipment. Those without masks are prohibited from entering the scenic area. Visitors undergoing temperature checks and meeting health standards must present their ID cards and health codes at the ticketing gates before entering; visitors staying at hotels or dining in scenic restaurants must also undergo temperature checks and be responsible for the authenticity of the information provided, and voluntarily comply with the management of on-site staff, orderly cooperate with temperature checks, information registration, health code verification, etc. (Wu One Ding)
