Hebei News Network reports (photographed by Chen Fei and). On April 5th, villagers were fishing and taking walks within the Kangyang Small Town in Yuanzihu Village, Qiaotong District, Zhangjiakou. The breeze rippled across the lake surface, and birds sang joyfully alongside the villagers' songs, creating a serene and harmonious scene. As of the latest update, the small town construction project, a key development project for the village in recent years focused on health and tourism, has completed 90% of the total project. It is expected to be open to the public this year.

The small town construction project was introduced using a social financing model by the village committee of Yuanzihu Village and the Zhangjiakou District Business Bureau's work team. It utilizes the village's abundant natural scenery and hot spring resources to build a garden-style elderly apartment with five main functions: elderly care, medical services, tourism, hot spring health and organic vegetable harvesting. Once completed, the small town will provide elderly care services for 500 people, while also driving employment for villagers and boosting related industries such as tourism, accommodation and catering.
