Xining's Most Beautiful Place is North Mountain
There's a place that isn't in Jiangnan, yet possesses its beauty. It's not Qinghai Lake or Tacheng Salt Lake, but its beauty surpasses that of any scene in Qinghai.
The name of this place is Xining North Mountain Beautiful Garden.
North Mountain Beautiful Garden is located at the foot of North Mountain, to the left and rear of the train station, and is affectionately known as Station Rear Park by West Ning residents. Built into the mountains, it stretches over ten kilometers. Its beauty is truly as its name suggests.
This is a Flower World, with flowers covering the ground. I came when the monthly flower festival was being held, and I saw bougainvillea blooming profusely, along with fragrant flowers like jasmine and forsythia, all vying for the title of 'most beautiful'. The fragrance filled the air.
Climbing the park steps, you come upon a large lotus pond, its flowering season having passed, but its beauty remains.
The pond is filled with stones of various sizes, and the pool walls are lined with pebbles, with sections adorned with Honghui stones, creating a lively effect.
A pool of water shimmers with gold and silver, reflecting the distant Danxia Mountains, adding to the splendor.
Under the blue sky and white clouds, the Danxia landform of North Mountain is rendered even more vibrant red. The mountains burn like flames, and the Danxia formations showcase a breathtaking spectacle in the evening glow.
Pavilions and pavilions are scattered throughout the park, and fish are raised in the pond, creating a scene reminiscent of Jiangnan.
The trees are lush and green, with peach, plum, apricot, and magnolia trees scattered throughout the garden. During flowering season, it's a sight to behold, and a gentle breeze carries the scent of flowers into the nostrils of visitors. Pines, poplars, and elm trees are densely planted along the path, with some varieties brought in from the south – no need for sunscreen!
Creatures like magpies, peacekeepers, sparrows, and mountain jays sing and jump through the forest, adding to the scene, while some fly to the lake to splash in the water.
Chrysanthemums bloom in abundance, forming vast fields of color, it's impressive and eye-catching. Citizens can easily enjoy the flowers without traveling far, relaxing their minds and letting go of their worries.
Beautiful Garden has layers of beauty: near is the lake, far is the flowers, further is the forest, and beyond the forest is the mountain. Its beauty is a relay race, and such a combination of scenery is only achievable by a painter.
The garden is divided into six major areas, and every few steps brings a new sight. Some stop to admire, while others play and frolic. What unites them is a happy smile.
Xining, a gem on the Tibetan Plateau, is becoming increasingly beautiful. Southerners are envious.
