Wuyuan Spring Blooms and Golden Ancient Charm: Wuyuan Travel Guide
Wuyuan is the only national AAA-level tourist scenic area named after an entire county, with rapeseed flowers in spring and maple forests in autumn. Centuries-old villages are scattered among the mountains, which deeply move people. Every spring, there are many tourists going to Wuyuan to admire the spring scenery.

For sightseeing-oriented tourism, it's important to choose the best time, preferably the middle and late of February when the rapeseed flowers have largely opened and the number of tourists isn't too large. By early to mid-March, it's said to be very crowded.

Before traveling, it's essential to make a detailed itinerary, consult and gather information. First, determine the sightseeing routes and destinations you want to visit. The Wuyuan scenic area ticket covers 12 sites, including the eastern Li, Wang, Jiang, Xiao, Jiang, the northern Sixi, Rainbow Bridge, Wolong Valley, Yan, Ling, and the western Wen, priced at 210 yuan. These sites alone cost 60 yuan each.
Additionally, Wuyuan has several other places that are sold separately, such as Qing for 20 yuan, Li for 60 yuan, and Huang for 145 yuan. The scenery in Stone City and Wolong Valley is best in autumn, while the spring scenery is generally ordinary.

You don't need to worry about food; there are many restaurants along the way. During non-peak seasons, you don't need to book accommodation in advance; you can just go and stay as you go, which offers a high degree of freedom. The only inconvenience is local transportation, with distances between nearby sites ranging from several kilometers to dozens of kilometers. Although there are medium-sized buses traveling between townships, it's not very convenient. You can arrange carpooling or private car hire instead.
