Spring is gradually unfolding a beautiful scroll, with the reflection of blue sky and white clouds, a touch of new green is bursting with vitality.
When it comes to Huangying Village, we must talk about its unique geographical location. Huangying Village is located at the mouth of the Huang River into the sea, bordering the Bohai Sea.

Huangying Village's territory is mostly plains, with south higher and north lower, and the village has more than 700 acres of locust tree forest. At the time of spring, when the locust flowers bloom, you can smell the rich fragrance even from several miles away, which also attracts beekeepers to migrate here to collect honey every year.
In ancient times, Huangying was a military stronghold, playing an important role in economic development and foreign contacts. It originated early, with a long history, 320 years earlier than the founding of Xihuayuan (West Huangcheng). Therefore, Longkou has the saying 'Huangying came first, then Huang County'.
According to the ‘Longkou Village Chronicle’, when Sima Yi suppressed Liaodong, he once stationed troops here to store grain. The Sui Emperor also built warships here to prepare to cross the sea. Qin Shihuang’s 37th year (210 BC), Xu Fu went to sea to seek medicinal herbs, leading 500 boys and 500 girls from the Huang River estuary to embark on a voyage to Dongzhou (Eastzhou).

There is also the saying that during the Tang Dynasty, Xue Li, who conquered the East, once stationed troops in Huangying, built an earthen city called 'Army Camp', which was the important port for trading with Northeast China at that time. Because it is located at the mouth of the Huang River into the sea, it is named ‘Huangying’.
During the Qing Dynasty's Qianlong and Jiaqing years, the Huangying port became a trade port connecting Dongzhou and Liaodong Peninsula, extending to Yingzhou and Yantai to the east and Yingkou Niuzhuang and Dalian to the north. Because of the convenient transportation of Huangying connecting with Liaodong, the people of Huang County had been eager to engage in maritime trade, and many people from the Jiaozhou area also took ships from here to cross the 'East Gate'.
In 1914, Longkou Port gradually flourished, and the merchant ships traveling to and from Huangying began to decrease. After 1950, Huangying Port became a fishing port. After the construction of (Luan Port) in 1985, the old port was abandoned.
