Nanyangtan Lake Wetland Park Promoted to National Level (Picture)

The Nanyangtan Lake provincial wetland park became the first provincial wetland park in our province to successfully be promoted to a national-level wetland park. The promotion of the Tanhu Provincial Wetland Park to a national wetland park is another major achievement for the wetland park and ecological civilization of the county.

It is understood that the Tanhu Wetland Park is located in the southeastern part of Nanyang County, 18 kilometers east of the county seat. The lake area is 6175 acres, with forest area of 17,000 acres, with a total planning area of 871.1 hectares, of which the wetland area is 561 hectares, accounting for 64.4% of the total land area. The trees on the mountains are lush, with a coverage rate of 98%. The scenic area has a beautiful natural ecological environment, pleasant climate and fresh air, warm in winter and cool in summer, and is known as 'Little Lushan'.
