Daily View: "Netgame Zhangjiajie" – "Dragon’s Gate"

Longwang Cave is a national AAAA-level tourist scenic area located approximately 17 kilometers east of Wulingyuan Scenic Area in Zhangjiajie City, Cili County, Jiangya Town. It is one of Zhangjiajie's core tourist attractions.
Named for the legend of a dragon living in the deep pool outside, it was discovered and confirmed by local residents in 1979, and was managed and operated by Huanglong Cave Investment Co., Ltd. since April 28, 2013.

Longwang Cave belongs to a typical karst terrain and is a super-large limestone cave with an age of 380 million years. It is praised by cave experts as 'a world-class cave wonder' due to the rare cave fault phenomenon, and is one of China's oldest caves.

The cave is about 30 kilometers long in total, with a bottom area of more than 400,000 square meters, an average height of 50 meters, and a width of 80 meters. There are 58 halls and courtyards, 28 stone galleries, 15 pearl waterfalls, 3 underground rivers, 2 lakes, and 45 water flower pools. The cave is full of stalactites, stalagmites, pillars, curtains, and flowers, all of which are dazzling.

There is a 'Dragon Treasure Column' in the cave, which stands upright and majestic, attracting admiration. The cave's temperature is constantly 15-20 degrees Celsius, warm in winter and cool in summer, with a pleasant climate.

According to geological experts, the pool outside Longwang Cave is not only connected to the cave but also its water has never been measured to the bottom. The water level in the pool rises and falls regularly, full but not overflowing, dry but not exhausted, and increases sharply on nights of the full moon, likely influenced by the tides of the sea. Therefore, Longwang Cave is regarded by geologists as 'a gateway to the Earth's core – the Earth's Door'.
