Just a Bowl of Noodles (Those who understand, are amazing!)

Once upon a time, someone asked an old gentleman, 'Which is more important, the sun or the moon?' The old gentleman thought about it for a long time and replied, 'The moon. The moon is more important.' 'Why?' 'Because the moon shines at night, when we most need light, while the sun shines during the day, so it's unnecessary.'
You might laugh at this old gentleman's foolishness, but don't you find that many people are like this? You never think much of the people who take care of you, but you're grateful when a stranger helps you. Your parents and family always give you their all, and you always think it's natural, sometimes even annoyed. Once someone outside of you does something similar, you're particularly grateful. Isn't this just as foolish as 'grateful for the moon, denying the sun'?
A girl had a huge fight with her mother, and she stormed out of the house, determined to never return. She wandered around all day, her stomach growling, but she couldn't bring any money and couldn't face her mother for dinner.
Suddenly, the street vendor kindly asked, 'Little girl, would you like a bowl of noodles?' She awkwardly replied, 'Um, but I don't have money.' The vendor burst out laughing, 'Haha, it doesn't matter. Today, I'll treat you.'
The girl couldn't believe her ears. She sat down. Soon, the noodles arrived, and she ate them with relish, saying, 'Boss, you're so kind!'
The boss said, 'What do you mean?' The girl replied, 'We've never met before, and you're so kind to me, unlike my mother, who never understands my needs and thoughts. It's really infuriating!'
The boss laughed again, 'Haha, little girl, I just gave you one bowl of noodles, and you're so grateful. Shouldn't you be more grateful to your mother, who has cooked for you for twenty years?'
Hearing the boss say this, the girl suddenly realized her mistake. She didn't care about the remaining noodles, and immediately rushed home.

Just as she reached the lane entrance, she saw her mother standing far away, anxiously looking around. Her heart sank. She desperately wanted to say 'I'm sorry' to her mother. But before she could speak, her mother had already rushed forward, 'Oh my dear, where have you been all day? You've made me so worried! Come inside and wash your hands, and let's have dinner.'
That night, the girl deeply realized her mother's love.
When the sun is always shining, people forget its light; when family members are always around, people forget their warmth. A person who is taken care of without fail doesn't appreciate it, because he thinks the daylight is enough, the sun is superfluous.
We often ignore what we have, thinking it's natural, and we complain about injustice when we don't have it, as if the world owes us a lot. Gratitude is a positive attitude. Some people say, 'You should be grateful to those who hurt you, because they honed your will; you should be grateful to those who deceive you, because they enriched your experience; you should be grateful to those who look down on you, because they awakened your self-esteem…' With a grateful heart, appreciate fate, appreciate everything you are, and be worthy of your heart, walk freely in this world.
Cultivating gratitude requires us to observe with our hearts, to comprehend with our hearts, and to love. Plants grow vigorously, in gratitude for the spring's grace; birds forage tirelessly, in gratitude for nurturing; seedlings grow robustly, in gratitude for the nourishment of the stream; children study diligently, in gratitude for their parents' upbringing.
Gratitude is a life attitude, often with a grateful heart, using virtue to repay virtue, knowing gratitude and giving thanks, worthy of your heart, walking freely in the world!
Learn to be grateful. If you are grateful for life, life will give you a radiant sun; if you resent and regret, you may eventually have nothing. Isn't that right? Clouds roll and flowers fall, which are worth appreciating and appreciating the moon, but more importantly, we should appreciate the sun!
