Some words comfort others but cannot comfort ourselves.

01
There's a saying: we always advise others like wise people, and then torture ourselves like fools.
Yes, often we can convince others of certain truths, but we can't comfort ourselves at crucial moments.
When it happens to others, we tend to choose reason; but when it's about ourselves, we instinctively indulge in emotion.
In life, many things don't have a single cause; everything has different possibilities.
When it doesn't happen to you, you'll think it's a minor matter that you can easily decide on,
But what if it concerns your own interests?
And you realize that you start to think about it a lot more.

02
The words we use to persuade others don't have any effect when they're directed at ourselves.
For example, we know that staying up late is bad for your health and eating irregularly can damage your stomach, and we'll tell others, explaining all the terrible consequences and possibilities, just to make them listen,
But what about when it's about ourselves?
We know we should go to bed early for our health, but we still study and work overtime. Or, we're too busy during the day and only have the evening to ourselves, so we stay up late.
Everyone has times when they feel down, and although we can fool those around us, we can never deceive our own hearts.
We can use a smile to conceal things, but our eyes will unintentionally reveal the truth. We can use words to gloss over things, but tears will inevitably reveal the truth.
03
Life is a battlefield, and everyone of us is playing out our own series of chaos and confusion,
Life is a performance, and everyone of us is acting out our own story of sweet and sour, bitter and harsh,
Good or bad things, how we feel about them is known only to ourselves; others are others,
Sometimes, we seem to be able to convince others, but we can never truly understand someone else's pain, so some words can comfort others, but not ourselves,
Aren't some things only understood when you experience them yourself?
