An Ideal Life: Harmony of Movement and Stillness

Memories are precious things in life, they are the little bits and pieces that remain in our lives, including the people we've met, the events we've experienced, our footprints, and our joys and sorrows. Memories bring back laughter and happiness, allowing us to preserve joy and beauty; memories help us find our way through the storms of the past, making us appreciate what we have.

Often, we need to learn to forget. Forgetting doesn't mean that something never existed; forgetting doesn't mean abandoning everything. Everything is about choice, not deliberate rejection. Cherish the good memories, forget the sadness, and as long as there's beauty in our hearts, life will shine. When we have love in our hearts, the light is a smile; when we have scenery in our hearts, the light is beauty. Wherever we go, the light comes from all the beautiful things within us, or from past beautiful things.
An ideal life is about harmony between movement and stillness. 'Movement' is about fully burning our lives, striving to achieve our life goals; 'stillness' is about letting go of fame and fortune, accepting the superficiality of the world, and returning to simplicity. Life must be dynamic and still; stillness provides a better environment for movement, and movement stores more energy for stillness. Life has value when it can move; life has charm when it can remain still.

Tolerance – we need to leave space in our hearts, don't let resentment fill us; complaining and anger can make your chest tight and your intestines hurt, and rage will hurt your heart and damage your liver. Anger is punishing yourself for others' mistakes; tolerance is encouraging yourself with others' achievements. Tolerance is wisdom and virtue; tolerance is cultivation and realm; tolerance is the elevation of the soul. Tolerance is not criticizing others' small mistakes, not revealing others' privacy, not remembering others' old grudges.
