Leaning Against the Wall in the Corner, Encountering the Ivy-Covered Wall
Sunlight streamed through the windows, casting a glow on the window seat, while the chirping of birds echoed through the curtains. Unknowingly, another yesterday was lost, and there would be no more yesterdays in this lifetime – time truly is merciless!
Life is like a spinning top, constantly turning and never ending. Life is like a camel in the desert, carrying a heavy burden of life as it treks across the vast and hazy desert. When will it finally reach its destination? When will it arrive at the end? We've gained a lot, lost a lot; we haven't had time to savor the joy of what we have, but it's already a distant past. There's a deep, aching pain that only we can endure.
So, we simply cultivate, not expecting rewards. It's not a picturesque landscape; we will always find a mood. The eternal in this world is merely a wish. We say we'll hold hands for a lifetime, but we lose each other along the way. We want to realize our dreams, but we get lost before we reach the destination.
As we lose, many losses become permanent; how many can be recovered? As we gain, what we have is temporary; what can truly last forever?
Everyone desires to be understood, but among the countless people, how many truly understand you? It's hard to find a true friend.
Life is long and filled with disappointments – about eight or nine out of ten things go wrong. Even if no one applauds, we should still fly; even if no one appreciates us, we should still bloom. Since we can't change others, we should change ourselves. Since we can't change our environment, we should change our minds.
Don't complain, don't lament – flowers bloom for a purpose, and they wither for a destiny. Everything has its cause and effect, and everything is the arrangement of heaven.
We can only have one attitude: to bathe in the fragrance of time, to smile, and to accept fate.
Don't force things, don't demand perfection, be spontaneous, accept fate, be natural – it's through experience that we learn; forget what needs to be forgotten, and cherish what needs to be treasured. Don't complain, don't be sad, don't be inferior, don't be arrogant. The bamboo quietly lowers its head, and the plum blossom faces the sun.
What others think and say is irrelevant to me; I should simply be the best version of myself. When tired, rest; when hungry, eat well. Life is about laughter, anger, joy, and sorrow – eating, drinking, and sleeping.
Watch the clouds and seasons drift by, and wander like a single lotus leaf. Appreciate the long, expansive skies and the falling autumn mist, and observe the lone egrets. When faced with troubles, just smile – 'Even if you have three thousand worries, a flower smile is enough.' Eventually, everything will become a story, and when the time comes, there's nothing we can do but accept it. When it's over, laugh it off; laughter relieves all sorrows.
The lowest point in the valley is the starting point of the mountain. Many people get stuck in the valley because they stopped moving, sitting there crying and lamenting their troubles.
There are always new villages beyond the hills; the further you climb, the more beautiful the scenery. Give yourself a smile, and give yourself applause.
