The Best Inner Beauty Lies in the Quietude of the Soul (Deep Reflection)

Focus on minimalism: Embrace a life of less, and a life of more,The true nature of the spirit is the genuine reflection of life,What you think, will surely come to pass; what you dream, will surely materialize. You nourish your soul with what you conceive, what you yearn for, and that is your true spirit,The ultimate spirit is born from the quietude of the soul: simple yet profound, pure yet joyful, vibrant yet self-aware,The quietness of the soul is acceptance of life,Life is a journey of self-cultivation, and engaging in worldly affairs is the best way to cultivate oneself,The Dao is within life; departing from the present moment is not true Dao. You don't need to retreat to the mountains or break free from the world. You simply work diligently, remain grounded in the present, maintain composure and joy, and cultivate yourself in the midst of a busy life, observing yourself in standing, walking, sitting, and lying down,As for cultivation, it is about living in the present. As the Sage said: 'When hungry, we eat; when tired, we sleep.' This is cultivation; this is cultivation; this is cultivation; this is cultivation; this is cultivation,Wang Yangming said: 'One must hone oneself through experience to stand firm; one can also remain calm and composed through movement.'

People should refine themselves through experience to stand firmly and achieve the state of 'whether moving or still, one can maintain inner composure.'

Accept everything in life, face your unique self with joy. All the hardships you encounter and the pain you suffer are part of your life, and they will all become the brightest light in your life,Half a lifetime of suffering, and still a young heart. True inner quietude comes from experiencing hardship after hardship—'no wind, no rain'!

The quietness of the soul is insight into all things,If your heart is not steady, what does it matter?

There is a story:

Sometimes the wind blows, the banners move; one monk says, 'the wind moves,' and another monk says, 'the banners move,' and they debate endlessly. Hui Neng said, 'It is not the wind that moves, it is not the banners that move; it is the mind of a wise man that moves.'

If your heart is not steady, your nature will be unstable. When your emotions and thoughts are swayed by the environment, you will naturally encounter troubles and lose inner quietude and composure,Luk Hui Neng actually guided his disciple: 'Cultivation is about the heart; therefore, one must constantly observe one's own heart, guard one's heart, and thus reduce the turbulence of life,'Wang Yangming also said a passage: 'When you don't see the flower, the flower and your heart merge into stillness.' When you do see the flower, the flower's color becomes clear for a moment.

The flower, of course, blooms and fades on its own, but whether it disturbs your heart is up to you. Even if the heavens and earth collapse, if your heart is calm, everything will be clear.

Silence allows wisdom to arise. As Lao Tzu said:

Extremes of emptiness, hold steadfastly to stillness. All things come together and apart; I observe their return. All things, when returned to their root, are still. The root is stillness; stillness brings life back.

When your heart is still, all inner wisdom is complete; all truths are revealed naturally,The quietness of the soul is awakening to life,If you don't reflect on your life, it's a wasted life,Truly enlightened people know how to 'die to live.' They repeatedly contemplate the purpose of their lives, and when they face death, they gain boundless energy from the source of life,Because of this reflection, life can break through layer upon layer of selfish desires, revealing the soul that was once buried, radiating with purity and brilliance, blending with all things in the universe,Wang Yangming said: 'The notion of life and death originates from the body and life; it cannot be easily removed. If one can discern this through insight, then the whole heart is open; this is in accordance with the Way.'

When a person truly understands death, he can face life with composure. His body and mind will return to their natural state, his wisdom will naturally emerge, and his soul will become truly quiet and clear, unified with heaven and earth,Wang Yangming's last words were: 'A still mind, also a still word.' His heart was bright, and the world was also bright; all things grew and thrived, full of life,Life is short, but it contains infinite value and meaning. When a person constantly reflects on the purpose of their life, strives to achieve spiritual awakening, and reaches a state of inner clarity, it can be said that there is no regret in life,A still mind, also a still word,True quietude exists only in the heart,Wang Yangming's disciple, Xu Yue, always practiced meditation. One day, he felt he had truly grasped the essence of Wang Yangming's teachings, so he excitedly sought the master's confirmation,Wang Yangming told him to give examples to illustrate what he meant. Xu Yue eagerly presented examples, and Wang Yangming refuted them one by one until there were no examples left,Wang Yangming pointed to the light of a candle in the ship and said, 'This is light.' He pointed to a circle in the air and said, 'This is also light.' He pointed to the reflection of the candlelight on the lake and said, 'This is also light.' He then pointed to where his vision reached, saying, 'This is also light.'

Wang Yangming told his disciple, 'Don't be too attached to specific things. True light does not reside in the candle, but in the heart. When your heart is clear, everything is clear.'

If you have a peaceful inner garden, where is not a paradise?True quietude is not in the mountains, not in temples, but in the heart. When you begin to 'turn inward,' when you return to yourself, you open the door to the profound quietness of the soul, and even further, you are already quiet,The quietness of the soul is your best self!
