One True Friend, Enough to Comfort in the World
Having grown accustomed to the constant flow of people, witnessing the rise and fall of relationships, and experiencing the joys and sorrows of life, I gradually understood how to face the world with a calm and lighthearted attitude, accepting the impermanence of all things. Slowly, I realized that success or failure, gain or loss, were ultimately insignificant, as time is the most accurate selector, eventually stripping away all that is fleeting and preserving the best for the end.
At a young age, I thought that lavish gatherings and sensual pleasures could lead to friendships, believing that friends could be found across the land. However, I later discovered that true friendship is quiet and understated, unique and unwavering, and it never abandons those it cares for.
A life of one lifetime is enough to feel fortunate. With a close friend by your side, loneliness is surmountable, and a happy life is within reach, because a heart filled with companionship and a soul with a place to rest are the truest forms of happiness.
