Lost Elegance Series - "Twilight Spring"
Read and enjoy the beautiful words, share the myriad aspects of life!
This article was written at the beginning of my university, it's an old article from ten years ago. I'm revisiting it to reminisce about those days.
Spring is gradually deepening!
The flowers have exhausted their charm, becoming weary of listening to people's lingering footsteps and hiding their delicate faces, retreating behind the scenes, quietly observing their solitude, leaving themselves ready to showcase their beauty, for the other lonely summer sisters.
The grass has lost its sheen, transitioning from pale yellow to dark green. It no longer caters to the 'flower sisters,' serving as a mere accessory. It began to develop its own rich color, preserving the last batch of springtime's highlights.
The trees remain elegant, with the wind, rain, and water continuing to caress their branches, flowing over them, and people passing through, standing tall and upright.
Spring is still coming, the trees' spring is just beginning! Walking along the path in late autumn, compared to the vibrant spring with flowers blooming everywhere and green grass, the new branches sway, and the flowers, grass, and trees ahead have added a touch of sadness and lost a touch of admiration.
Thinking about it, this phenomenon also appears in us. We, like these late autumn flowers and grass, should have been brilliant and vibrant, fragrant on the branches, dyeing the earth green, inspiring admiration and praise. But now, even though we have the beauty, age, time, strength, era, of flowers and grass, we can no longer showcase our charm and achievements on the spring stage, to ourselves and others, to inspire admiration and praise; instead, we've become like these withered flowers and grass in late autumn, even though we have the name of flowers and grass, we have lost their beauty! Alas!
Who to blame? I smiled. The late autumn wind brought a chill to my heart.
