Golf Club Introduction

Now everyone's 'water quality' is getting higher, and many people are exposed to golf. As for golf, it's actually a relatively relaxed sport. If you want to learn golf, you should first understand the knowledge of golf clubs, because golf clubs are very demanding for this sport, and targeted clubs are required. So, for beginner golf club players, you need to learn more.

First, we need to know the classification of golf clubs, because each club is used to hit different balls. If you want to hit long shots and short shots, the clubs used are different. This targeted approach is why everyone needs to know more about it.
I. Wood Clubs: Wood clubs are mainly used to hit long-distance balls. Their characteristics are long shafts and light clubheads. Modern drivers are often called wood clubs, but more than 70% of drivers are now made of metal. Wood clubs are divided into: 1-wood (Driver), fairway woods (3-wood, 4-wood, 5-wood, 7-wood, 9-wood). The smaller the number, the longer the shaft, the lighter the weight; conversely, the larger the number, the shorter the shaft, the heavier the weight.
II. Iron Clubs: They are usually made of stainless steel or soft iron, and are made using casting and forging methods. Iron clubs are typically used on the fairway or when hitting ball on three-shot holes. They focus on stability rather than distance. The typical distance for a male seven-iron is 150 yards, and about 100 yards for women. The irons included in the set are 2-iron through 9-iron, P-wedge, S-wedge. Some brands (like HONMA) also have 10-iron or 11-iron. Women rarely use 2-iron, and usually start with 4-iron or 5-iron. From a distance perspective: 2, 3, 4, 5-irons are long-shafted, and 6, 7, 8-irons are mid-irons, and 8, 9, P, S, A are short-shafted.
III. Relief Clubs: P, S, A are relief clubs, also known as special irons, and belong to the short-shaft category. Their characteristics are short shafts, heavier swing weights than irons, and large clubface angles (45–60 degrees) with bounce angles. They are mainly used for rescue shots around the green, bunkers, or long grass. Relief clubs are divided into: pitching wedge (PW), sand wedge (SW), lob wedge (LW) according to their characteristics.
IV. Putters: Putters are specially designed clubs used to hit the ball towards the hole on the green. The putter shaft is no more than 5 degrees. There are mainly two types: blade-style (also called knife-back) and mallet-head.
The above introduces some knowledge about golf clubs. I believe you will have a better understanding of golf clubs after reading this. For some beginner golfers, it's important to first learn some knowledge about this sport so you can learn this sport better. Remember!
