Home-grown bean sprouts, incubate mung beans, 1 jar and 1 handful of beans, 3 days bean sprouts white and plump
This year, staying home during the New Year is really boring. Plus, there weren’t many vegetables prepared before the New Year, and in a few days, the vegetables in the house will be almost gone. Then, I spent the time incubating soybeans at home, and occasionally delivered fresh soybean sprouts to neighbors. They were curious about how we had soybean sprouts at this time.

How to incubate soybean sprouts myself?
Soybean sprouts, whether they are made from soybeans, mung beans, or other legumes, are generally called soybean sprouts. They are a simple and organic vegetable that can be easily grown and incubated indoors. There are many ways to incubate soybean sprouts, such as using mineral water bottles, and some people use tea pots.
Actually, the method of incubating green soybean sprouts is not much different. It’s about using bottles and cans at home. You can use one bottle for one person, and a family can use a tea pot for incubating soybean sprouts, which is more convenient for watering and harvesting.
Because the soybean sprouts are incubated indoors, there are no restrictions on the planting location and climate changes, and you can enjoy fresh organic soybean sprouts all year round.

Incubating soybeans – using a tea pot to incubate.
A tea pot is also a good helper for incubating soybean sprouts. One person uses a mineral water bottle, two people use bottle and cans, and a family uses a tea pot for incubating soybean sprouts, which is more convenient for watering and harvesting.
1. Prepare a tea pot and yellow soybean seeds. It is recommended to use a tea pot with a capacity of less than 1 liter, and plant about 100-120 grams of yellow soybean seeds.

2. Place the soybeans in the tea pot and thoroughly clean them before soaking. After cleaning, soak them in water for 6-8 hours. The yellow soybeans will be full of water and plump. Remove any broken or damaged seeds you find.

3. After incubating for one day, the yellow soybeans will start to germinate. Change the water 2-3 times a day, and drain the water to prevent fermentation and the formation of odors.

4. Incubate the yellow soybean sprouts under room temperature for 3-6 days. When the yellow soybean sprouts grow, take them out, wash them, and remove the seed coat for cooking.

Bottle and cans incubate green soybean sprouts
1. Prepare green soybeans, bottles, cans, and mesh. The bottle mouth should be of appropriate size, so that the soybean sprouts can be easily extracted.

2. After placing the green soybeans in the bottle, clean them and then pour 40-50℃ warm water to soak.

3. After soaking for 6-8 hours, pour out the water, and use a mesh to cover the soybeans to prevent light from germinating. Change the water 3 times a day, add water to fill the bottle and drain it. Incubate for 3 days. During the change of water, you can smell the fragrance of soybean.

4. After incubating for a few days, give the seeds a suitable amount of water, and pay attention to drainage. Because in a warm and humid environment, soybean sprouts are prone to rot and mold.
Soybean sprout cooking notes
1. Regardless of the incubation method, the amount of soybean seeds should be 1/8 to 1/10 of the volume or weight of the container or seeds. The soybean seeds will grow 10 times larger during the growth process, so when incubating, you should first calculate the amount of soybean seeds used.
2. The appropriate seed density will make the hypocotyl fat and short because of competition for space and its own weight pressure during the development of soybean sprouts. If the weight used is insufficient, the soybean sprouts will be relatively thin.
3. After soaking, remove any poorly developed or broken seeds or seeds with defects to avoid affecting the quality of soybean sprouts and their success.
4. Before incubating green soybean sprouts, give the seeds a suitable amount of water, and pay attention to drainage, because in a warm and humid environment, soybean sprouts are prone to rot and mold.
Soybean sprout cooking notes
Some people say that adding pressure can increase the plumpness of soybean sprouts, but without drugs, the effect is limited. The most effective way is to make the soybean sprouts drink more water. Change the water every 4 hours, so that the soybean sprouts drink enough water, and its stem will become thicker.
Soybean sprout environment
Incubating soybean sprouts only requires a small, shady corner indoors without light, which is a simple and organic way for families to self-produce. The soybean sprouts grown at home are completely pollution-free.
Simple methods
To produce soybean sprouts in spring, summer, autumn, and winter, the simplest way at home is to plant them in the refrigerator. The temperature is always 15℃, and the frequency of changing water can be reduced, and it can also avoid light. But the germination speed is slow, and the production time of soybean sprouts is longer. You can also try to incubate soybean sprouts for 2-3 days at room temperature before moving them to the refrigerator to adjust the yield and maturity of soybean sprouts.
Epilogue

The clean, hygienic, and safe soybean sprouts incubated at home can be eaten with confidence, and eating them can be healthier. According to the soybean sprout incubation method, it takes 3-7 days to harvest. I tried it for the first time and succeeded, which greatly boosted my confidence, so I often repeated the incubation. Soybean sprout cooking is also very simple, and it's delicious when mixed with garlic sprouts, meat, and eggs.
