It's the First Winter Supplement, 5 Yuan per Kilogram is More Nutritious Than Meat, My Family Buys Dozens of Kilos Every Time
Although it is spring, the weather is still cold, when it's cold, appetite is better, so I almost have to make some small pastries and snacks every day for my child. In addition to three meals, I'll have a little snack if I'm hungry, which can increase the body's nutrition and prevent children from eating unhealthy snacks. We don't buy snacks at home, and we can save a lot of money every month.
On weekends, I made this yam roll for my child, and he became obsessed with it after eating it. Recently, he has been clamoring to eat it. The soft and sticky yam, crispy peanut, plus the elastic tofu skin, soft and chewy, the more you chew, the more fragrant. Yam rolls are easy to make and fragrant and chewy, and babies with teeth are also good at eating.

This delicious yam roll mainly uses yam, which is known as the 'first winter supplement'. Although it only costs 5 yuan per kilogram, eating it in winter is really more nutritious than meat. Yam is a healthy vegetable in autumn and winter, and it is a must-eat vegetable in winter for health preservation. Yam can promote digestion, nourish the lungs, and regulate the body's acid-base balance. If you persist in eating it, you can achieve the effect of beauty and hair growth, and it can also prevent excessive stomach acid. When children eat yam, it has the effect of protecting teeth.
The most common way to make yam is to stew soup or steam it. It's monotonous in terms of taste. Try this yam roll, it has a rich texture and a special taste, adults and children all like it. It's also easy to make, even if you've never made it before, you can do it in one look.
Ingredients: Main Ingredients: 500g yam, 1 egg, 50g scallions, 100g peanuts, 50g cornstarch, 1 sheet of tofu skin
Accessories: 1 spoonful of five-spice powder, appropriate amount of oil, appropriate amount of salt
Process:

Peel and slice the yam into strands, many people say that when processing yam, hands will feel itchy. A little trick is to don't wash the yam directly, just peel it off, then rinse it lightly with running water to remove dust, so you won't get your hands itchy. I always do this when processing yam, so I never feel itchy.

Cut a little pork into small pieces and mince it into meat puree in a meat grinder. You can also chop it coarsely.

Soak the tofu skin in water to soften it beforehand. Choose tofu skin with no broken edges, it looks prettier. It's easier to make.

Soak the peanuts in water.
Pour the yam strands into a basin, add one egg.

Add scallions, five-spice powder, salt, cornstarch and appropriate amount of oil into a large basin, mix well with the yam strands.

Slightly drain the softened tofu skin and spread it out. Scoop the yam strand puree onto the tofu skin, and arrange it into a long strip.

Gently roll up from one side of the tofu skin, pinch it slightly. Leave a little gap on both sides to avoid exposing the filling. Don't brush water on the tofu skin, the moisture from the yam strands is enough. Place the wrapped yam roll on a plate that has been oiled, and steam it for 15 minutes after the water boils.

Take out the steamed yam roll, let it cool slightly, and cut it into pieces about 1 centimeter in length.
Fry in a flat pan until both sides are slightly golden brown, eat it while hot, it's fragrant and chewy, savory and delicious, and it's irresistible. Pair it with a bowl of porridge for a perfect breakfast!

Adding pork to the yam roll makes it more fragrant and chewy, if you can't buy tofu skin, you can use seaweed sheets instead, which is also delicious.
If you're feeding a baby, you can slightly crush the peanuts and use less.
