Three Dishes Prepared in Half an Hour, Delicious and Fragrant, Friends Exclaim: 'Two People Are Too Extravagant!'
Although it's a work-from-home arrangement, I've been incredibly busy today, basically spending the whole day staring at computer screens reviewing reports and compiling data. I had a hasty lunch of a simple bowl of noodles and immediately got back to work until past five. Dinner was out of the question, but I couldn't really afford to skip it entirely. I took stock of the few remaining ingredients in my fridge, and managed to concoct three dishes: Bacon and Broccoli with Spicy Sauce, Garlic Meatballs, and Chili Tofu. These three dishes took only about half an hour to prepare, and when I posted them on my feed, everyone exclaimed: 'You guys are eating instant noodles while we're cooking three dishes, that's so extravagant!'

Dinner three dishes
The reason we could get it on the table so quickly is partly because the ingredients were easy to process, and they're quick to cook, a true champion for lazy people. First, let's prep the ingredients: Broccoli cut into small florets, put in a little salt water for a while, then rinse and dry. Three slices of bacon cut into strips (outside the frame); Tofu cut into long strands, green peppers washed, seeded, and also cut into strands; Garlic washed, cut into segments, the meatballs were made by my dad before his holiday trip, he froze them in the refrigerator, and they happened to be in line with the current situation of staying at home and unable to buy groceries. These meatballs were just in time, and I moved them to the refrigerator to warm up before using them for dinner tonight. It was just perfect. The meatballs are quite soft and savory after being simmered, and I think they're more to my liking than the crispy, browned texture of freshly fried meatballs.

Below we'll talk about how to make the three dishes:

Bacon and Broccoli with Spicy Sauce
Bacon and Broccoli with Spicy Sauce. This dish uses a clever combination of ingredients – the spicy sauce from Huang Ji Hong's ready-to-eat dish. With it, the dish is truly convenient. Heat oil in a pan, add bacon and stir-fry until slightly browned, add shallots and ginger to flavor, add broccoli, add a little water, pour in the spicy sauce, stir-fry quickly until cooked, and plate it. With this spicy sauce, the dish is flavorful and aromatic, and you don't even need to add pepper oil, salt, and chicken broth. Isn't that saving time and effort? When cooking broccoli, don't add too much water, otherwise it will turn into boiled broccoli, and broccoli will become soft and mushy, losing its crispness and tenderness. It's important to maintain the crispness of the broccoli.

Garlic Meatballs
Garlic Meatballs. Because the meatballs are already cooked, it's even easier to make. Heat oil in a pan, add shallots and ginger to flavor, add meatballs, add a little water, soy sauce, and wine, simmer for a short while, add garlic segments, quick stir-fry, season with salt and chicken broth, mix well, and plate it. Adding garlic not only enriches the nutrition but also adds a touch of green to the table, which is a perfect finishing touch.

Chili Tofu
Chili Tofu. This is a classic Northeastern dish – firm tofu and green peppers combine beautifully, with yellow and green colors creating a visually appealing and delicious dish. Usually, tofu and green peppers are cut into strips or slices, but I prefer to cut them into strands. Heat oil in a pan, add shallots and ginger and one dried chili pepper to flavor, add tofu strands, add a little water, soy sauce, and wine to simmer for a while, of course, if you have a soup stock at home, use it instead of water, the flavor will be richer. This dish can be seasoned with or without soy sauce; I personally like to add a little steamed fish sauce. When the tofu is cooked through, add green pepper strands, stir-fry until the green peppers are slightly softened, season with salt and vegetable broth, mix well, and serve it hot.
