The Fork-tailed Sunbird, also known as the 'Asian Honeycreeper', was once recognized as the smallest bird in China in 1982. It mainly feeds on flower nectar, but also preys on insects, insects and spiders, and seeds. It can hover in the air above flower petals with a slightly curved beak and a long, tubular tongue to suck nectar.

In 2000, this bird was listed in China's 'Catalogue of Wild Animals of Meritorious Significance for Conservation or of Important Economic and Scientific Research Value'.

According to historical records, 'sunbirds' were called 'Phoenix' in the north and 'Azure Dragon' in the south in China's history. Regarding the legend of 'Ying shooting nine days', it shows that ancient Chinese people worshipped the sun. For thousands of years, sunbirds have been auspicious birds in the hearts of the Chinese people, symbolizing good fortune.
