Green Qin YuanBrown Eagle ‘Accidentally’ Enters Forest Patrol – Returns to the Woods After Seven Days
Recently, a frightened national-level protected animal, the brown eagle, was rescued and successfully released back into the wild.
On March 21st, members of the county forest fire brigade discovered a wounded brown eagle on the training ground in Guo Dao Town. They immediately contacted the county forestry and animal husbandry bureau and personally escorted it to the temporary brown eagle rescue station for observation and treatment. With the cooperation of Lingxingshan Town, the brown eagle recovered well after 7 days of careful nursing and met the conditions for release. Recently, the county forestry and animal husbandry bureau, together with the experts who rescued this brown eagle, released it back into nature.
In recent years, my county has continued to promote the comprehensive ecological governance of the county area and has earnestly strengthened the protection of biodiversity, which has resulted in continuous improvement of the bird habitat and the continuous increase in the species and number of birds. In particular, as a bird of Shanxi Province, the brown eagle has seen an increase in its population and activity range within the county, with a growing number. It now mainly resides in Lingxingshan Town's Wulongquan Village, Meituichuan Village, Diaochuan Village, Heyu Village, Zhaoyu Village, and Wildyouchu Village. According to statistics, there are more than 3,000 of them. Persistent actions by bird lovers and protectors have truly turned my county into a ‘human-friendly home’ and a ‘free paradise for birds’.
