Thousands of Migratory Birds Arrive! Mǐyún Reservoir Becomes "Bird Paradise," The Scene Is Too Beautiful
Melting ice and thawing snow, everything is reviving, and the Mǐyún Reservoir also welcomes the arrival of migratory birds. Reporters learned from the Mǐyún Reservoir Management Office today that thousands of migratory birds, including great cormorants, little cormorants, white egrets, black-faced herons, and pelicans, have successively flown north from the south, making Beijing, this 'big water basin', a 'bird paradise'.

In the Mǐyún Reservoir, green-headed ducks and various autumn shovellers are playing and foraging in the reeds; proud black-faced herons stand motionless on branches, only launching into a dive to hunt, showcasing their uniqueness with their beautiful figures; elegant white swans, with their feathers as white as snow, they swim in groups on the shimmering water surface, gracefully coming and going; There are also national first-class protected animals, autumn shovellers, appearing in the reservoir.

In recent years, the Mǐyún Reservoir Management Office has taken a series of effective measures to better carry out water ecological protection work, strengthen water quality monitoring, conduct joint law enforcement, and severely crack down on various water-related illegal activities, and continuously increase ecological protection efforts. The obvious improvement in the ecological environment is attracting more and more rare animals to inhabit here.
