Absolutely Stunning! Swans Playing at Tongshan Lake
A vast expanse of water, with delicate willow branches swaying gently. The swans know the warmth of spring, leisurely and freely calling.
The staff of the Copper Mountain Tongshan Lake National Wetland Park recorded this wonderful scene near stake 440 on the shore of Copper Mountain Lake using their mobile phones. The scene showed more than 80 wild swans paired in rows on the clear, see-through lake, foraging, chasing, playing, and enjoying themselves, creating a beautiful and interesting scene.
Compared to the monitoring records in 2019, the appearance of the swan group in Copper Mountain Lake is a gratifying change brought about by strengthened ecological protection. The good habitat of Copper Mountain Lake National Wetland Park has become a home for rare birds such as little swans and mandarin ducks to rest and inhabit.
Professor Liang, the scientific research monitoring expert of Copper Mountain Lake National Wetland Park, pointed out at the monitoring site after seeing the swan group: Copper Mountain Lake is located in the east-west migration route of between East Asia and Australia, on the central route of China's migration, it is an important stopover station for migrating birds. The increase in the number of migrating little swans is the best witness to the protection achievements of Copper Mountain Lake National Wetland Park.
It is reported that the group of wild swans appearing in Copper Mountain Lake has not left in recent days and is living comfortably in this water area. (Wang Yu
