National Health Commission Experts: No Evidence of Novel Coronavirus Transmission from Pets
CCTVNET reports on February 3rd that Dr. Jiang Rongmeng, Director of Infectious Diseases of Beijing Ditan Hospital, stated that current research shows that there are 50 types of coronaviruses, four categories, and they can infect many animals. However, there are species barriers, and they do not randomly infect each other. Only 7 types can infect humans. Currently, there has been no evidence of pets being infected with the virus, and patients have not been found to infect pets.
