On March 18th, the globally critically endangered bird, a national level protected animal, the Blue-winged Teal again visited Yinchuan, Ningxia. Bird lover @The Third Eye promptly recorded this moment in the Yellow River Wetland in Yinchuan.
Blue-winged Teal are migratory birds, typically migrating from southern wintering grounds to northern breeding grounds in mid-March, and beginning to fly south in mid-October. It used to be one of the common in China, but with the destruction of habitats and human hunting, the population has declined sharply, and it has been listed as 'Critically Endangered' in the 'IUCN Red List of Threatened Species'.
On March 19th, 2019, bird enthusiasts from the Ningxia Bird Watching Association observed and recorded a Blue-winged Teal in the Yellow River Wetland, and this website immediately reported it. This year, the Blue-winged Teal again visited Yinchuan, with the number increasing from one to two, demonstrating their fondness for Yinchuan. (Reporter Qi Yingtao)
