Good News! Four More Yunnan Golden Monkey Babies Added to Xianguguqing
On March 25th, the ‘Second Five Family’ monkey gave birth to a baby monkey (taken by Lai Jiande).
On January 25th, the ‘Red Dot Family’ monkey, Zero Et, gave birth to baby monkeys (taken by Lai Jiande).
On March 3rd, the ‘Handsome Guy Family’ monkey, Zero A, gave birth to baby monkeys (taken by Lai Jiande).
On February 7th, the ‘Five Brothers Family’ monkey, Endo, gave birth to a baby monkey (taken by Lai Jiande).
On March 3rd, in the Yunnan BaiMa Snow Mountain National Nature Reserve’s Xianguguqing, the ‘Handsome Guy Family’ monkey, Zero A, gave birth to 1 baby monkey. To date, four baby monkeys have been added to the Xianguguqing display monkey group since the Lunar Year of the Rat.
According to the information provided by the Yunnan BaiMa National Nature Reserve Wild Animal Rescue Station:
On January 25th (Lunar New Year’s Day), the ‘Red Dot Family’ monkey, Zero Et, gave birth to 1 baby monkey, named ‘Gengzi One’.
On February 7th, the ‘Five Brothers Family’ monkey, Endo, gave birth to 1 baby monkey.
On February 25th, the ‘Second Five Family’ monkey gave birth to 1 baby monkey.
Currently, there are 8 families in the Xianguguqing golden monkey display group, with 23 community villagers recruited to be responsible for the patrol work of the. Many of them have more than 10 years of patrol experience and are very familiar with the monkeys. To ensure the natural survival of the Yunnan golden monkeys, the patrol guards will not interfere with the growth of the baby monkeys, but will according to the situation feed them relaxed rattan, dried apples, pumpkin seeds, peanuts, lacquer seeds, etc., to help the baby monkeys strengthen their physique.
