Dog Covered in Asphalt Rescued After 9 Hours of Cleaning

Since raising a dog, every time I see news of dogs being injured, I always feel deeply distressed. Some dogs have not provoked anyone, but are instead played with ruthlessly by humans. On Valentine's Day, before the holiday, a dog was maliciously trapped and waited to die by the side of the road. Even if you don't love it, you shouldn't hurt it.

On Valentine's Day before, in the small town of Libertad, Argentina, a painful abuse incident occurred while everyone was preparing carefully. The local animal protection organization 'Proyecto 4 Pata' received a plea for help from passersby, saying they found a living dog in a viscous asphalt puddle. Initially, the staff didn't believe it until they arrived at the scene.

The dog was completely covered in asphalt! The kind people who discovered it said they saw a group of children watching something and then discovered a motionless dog. The dog just slowly blinked its eyes, seemingly uninterested in what was before it. The staff rushed to save the poor dog until late at night, using car lights.

Later, the staff finally brought it back to the rescue station. A group of people kept applying plant oil to the dog to remove the asphalt. It took nearly 9 hours to wash the dog, using 50 liters of plant oil, which was equivalent to washing three large bathtubs.

The dog was very thin, with slender bones on its four legs. While washing it, the staff were very afraid of accidentally hurting it. The dog may have known they were coming to save it, and it didn't struggle during the washing process. After washing it dry, it obediently lay down for others to manipulate. Although it was very hungry, it ate slowly and deliberately, not gobbling it up. After so much trouble, the staff thought the dog would sleep well after eating. Instead, it just lay quietly beside them, watching them.

Although the number is small, there are still some animals that are abused by people every year and covered in asphalt. Proyecto 4 Pata also reminds that if you encounter this situation, you can first use plant oil to help the animal get out, and then seek professional help.

You can dislike it, but you shouldn't hurt it. Hurting a weak cat or dog, this kind of person can also extend their hands to humans, so everyone should be vigilant about such people around them.
