Wending: Beautiful Spring Moments, White Egrets Busy Building Nests
On March 20th, near the coast on the hilltops of Bainiu Pi Village, Wugun Town, Yulin City, nearly a thousand white egrets were busy building nests, settling down and creating a vibrant scene. These white egrets, also known as white spoonbills and small white herons, often live in groups of over a thousand in the woodlands, feeding on small fish and shrimp by the coast. Local villagers have spontaneously formed a rule of no hunting or harming birds, protecting the birds so they can safely nest and breed, adding an ecological landscape to Yulin.
