Dutch Pet Parrot Abused, Completely Bald and Ugly, Finds New Owner and Gentle Treatment

According to a report by The Daily Mail on February 27th, a ‘bald’ cockatiel in the Netherlands has recently been attracting much attention. It was abused by its previous owner, and the stress led to illness, resulting in all its feathers falling out. It has finally found a new owner and is being treated with kindness.

Recently, a video posted on social media featuring a ‘bald’ cockatiel has attracted attention. In the video, the featherless parrot is jumping and playing in its new home, being kissed by its new owner, which is a heartwarming scene that has left a deep impression on many people.

It is reported that the cockatiel, named Coco, was infected with Parrot Pox Virus, a highly contagious viral disease. This disease damages the feather follicles of birds, preventing feather growth. 3-year-old Coco contracted the disease due to abuse by its original owner.

In the video, Coco seems to deliberately ignore her pain. Because her feathers have fallen out, she cannot fly like a normal bird, but she seems unwilling to give up and frantically flaps her wings, eventually having to compromise with reality, jumping and playing on the ground.

Coco’s situation is very unfortunate, but fortunately, it has escaped from its original owner’s clutches and lives with its very loving new owner, Naljara. Although it has no feathers, it can be felt that Coco is very happy and without pressure.

Naljara said, “Coco cannot grow back her feathers, sometimes a little feather on her chest will grow a bit, but it will quickly fall out, but this does not affect my love for her.

I want to take care of Coco, my home is very warm, and I will love her wholeheartedly, and I will do my best to give her the best life.”
