French Photographer Captures Astonishing Scene: Giant Cat Snake Swallows Lizard Live
According to the British Daily Mail, recently, French photographer Nicolas Cegalerba captured a stunning scene in a natural reserve near Bukit Barisan Selatan National Park in southern Sumatra, Indonesia: a newly awakened lizard was brutally swallowed by a giant cat snake. The scene made people feel the cruelty of nature's 'survival of the fittest' law.
It is reported that this cat snake, which is about 25 cm long, was waiting beside the lizard and then swallowed its head in a swift and sudden manner, and it took the venomous snake 29 minutes to swallow the entire lizard. Cegalerba said that this scene has been completely recorded by his camera, and he joked that he is accustomed to such scenes.
It is known that this chameleon lizard lives in shrubs and grass slopes, prefers to be active during the day, and often sleeps hanging upside down on branches in the summer nights, thus frequently becoming a prey of carnivorous snakes.
