On the 27th, a woman discovered a black dog bound and killed near the Da Shun Luk Bridge. Its limbs were tightly wrapped with bundling tape, and it tragically passed away. It was even found dumped on the roadside and then transported to a landfill by the Environmental Protection Bureau, which notified the Kaohsiung Care Stray Animal Association. Upon arrival, the association's director Wang Xiaohua and his team discovered that the dog was not only bound by tape around its limbs but also had its head wrapped with a plastic bag and tape, causing astonishment. They immediately reported the incident and launched a public appeal for information.
Five days later, police investigated based on surveillance footage from nearby private cameras and identified the perpetrator, Tang male.
The Kaohsiung District Court tried the case, and Tang male admitted his guilt. The judge reviewed the animal forensic autopsy report from Taipei University's Animal Hospital, surveillance footage, and evidence photos, all of which matched Tang male's confession. The court ruled, sentencing Tang male to 3 months imprisonment and a fine, with the imprisonment portion potentially being suspended.
