Lanxi: The Time for Egret Chicks Arrives
On April 9th, in Mùzǎotáng Village, Yōufǔ Town, Lanxi City, in a forest on a hillside, flocks of white egrets were incubating and feeding chicks in their nests, creating a picturesque ecological landscape.
Every year during the Qingming Festival to Grain Rain, this is the breeding season for white egrets. In Lanxi City's Yōufǔ Town, flocks of white egrets reside peacefully here.
To create a harmonious ecological environment between people and nature, Shao Weirong, a white egret protector from Yōufǔ Town, and Mao Weibing, the secretary of Mùzǎotáng Village, established a bird patrol team and a volunteer service team, who patrol daily in the morning and evening in groups to attract the egrets and make Yōufǔ Town a paradise for bird watching and photography.
