Heartbreaking Scene: Mother Dies from Electrocution, Baby Monkey Attempts Revival

The Daily Mail reported on February 17, stating that the incident occurred around 3 pm on Wednesday in the forest near Bangaon, Assam. The little animal attempted to revive its dead mother, but was unsuccessful.
The footage shows the baby monkey clutching its mother's head, startling the people filming it, and surrounding onlookers. The baby monkey walks around its mother, seemingly confused.
In a later video, after sunset, two men picked up the dead monkey and placed it on a piece of cloth. They then wrapped it in the cloth and took it away, presumably to bury it properly.
Golden monkeys are known for their black faces and long tails that can grow up to 19 inches. Their fur changes color with the weather, and they typically live in tall trees.
It is estimated that there are only about 6000 wild golden monkeys.
