Lions Climbing Trees? It's No Big Deal

Lion Down From the Tree

Lion Up the Tree

Opening with Two Very Handsome Lions Climbing Trees! Shared by Guide Inge from Tanzania, These Phone Shots Are Stunning and Full of Feeling! Unfortunately, the pixels are low, and the original image is dark, so I adjusted it.

Many Local Guides Don't Have Cameras. It's Nice to Be Able to Record Some Wonderful Scenes and Moments. When I Returned to Beijing, I Gave My Olympus Micro Single Camera and 200mm Lens to the Driver Who Had Worked with Me for Several Years, and My Dad Scolded Me Several Times About It.

(1) Lions Climb Trees?!

Recently, Guides in Masai Mara and Serengeti Have Unpromptedly Shared Phone Shots of Lions Climbing Trees. I've Selected a Few Amusing Ones and Shared Them with Friends Who Love Africa. Suddenly, Many People Started Asking, 'What?! Lions Climb Trees?! Is It Really True?!'

I Realized That For Many African Safari Friends, Although Lions Climbing Trees Is A Common Sight, It's Not Usually Known By Everyone Who Isn't Familiar With African Wildlife. They Generally Have a Stereotype That Lions Are the Kings of the Grasslands, Battling with Spotted Hyenas for Prey, Mothers Hunting and Caring for Cubs, and Only Leopards Climb Trees.

Right? Half Right. Lions Don't Usually Climb Trees In Normal Life Conditions On The African Savanna.

I Have Seen Lions Climbing Trees Many Times During My Years of Wild Safari Trips, And I've Recorded At Least Twice In My Blog. I Won't Repeat Them Here. Today I'm Sharing Some Wonderful Shots of Lions Climbing Trees That I've Taken.

There's A Strange Safari Law That Is Always True: If You Don't Bring a Smartphone or Camera, And Your Battery Is Out Or Broken, You Will Inevitably Encounter Remarkable Animal Stories That Will Make You Regret Bleeding Out.

Years Ago, The First Time I Saw a Lion Climbing a Tree At Nakuru Lake National Park, I Only Brought a Broken Phone; The Second Time I Saw a Lion Climbing a Tree At Masai Mara, It Was A Little Far Away, My Camera Lens Wasn't Powerful Enough; And Once At Serengeti, Facing A Tree Full of Lions, My Camera Battery Was Empty.

A Memory I Remember Clearly Was At The Famous Masai Mara National Reserve In Tanzania, Where Several Lions Were Sleeping In The Giant Fig Trees, Hanging On The Branches, Showing Their Legs and Ears, Several Lions Were Sleeping Soundly In The Tree, It Was A Big Deal To See This And You Can't Get A Photo Of It During The Day, Because Lions Sleep During The Day, And Because It's Busy With The Journey, There Isn't Time To Take Photos.

1. A Whole Group Climbing Up

Location: Serengeti

Tree: Sausage Tree

Photographer: Mandy and Chris

Such A Whole Group, The Photographer Spent A Lot Of Effort Counting, You Guess How Many Lions There Are? Guess It!The answer is at the end.The lions were taking a nap, enjoying themselves, their tails wagged, and the fruits hanging on the branches of the sausage tree complemented them perfectly, which was very interesting.

I Remember That In 2018, There Was A Period In The Serengeti Where Lions Climbing Trees Was Almost Crazy, Tourists And Photographers Often Caught Amazing Shots, And They Made A Lot Of Money Selling Photos,

However, The Serengeti National Park Doesn't Allow You To Drive Off The Designated Roads, Especially In This Situation, There Are Many Vehicles Gathering To Watch, Everyone Must Follow The Rules, Maintain A Certain Distance, Be Quiet When Taking Photos And Watching, And It's Especially Important Not To Occupy A Good Position And Take Photos For Half A Day, Give Way To The Following Cars, 3-5 Minutes Is Enough, And You Must Give Way To The Following Cars, This Is The Most Basic Courtesy For Watching 'Red' Animals In The National Park.

Generally, Maintain A Distance Of 30-50 Meters, It's Very Difficult To Get Clear Details With Your Phone, You Have To Rely On The Photographer In The Same Car To Give You The Shot.

2. Standing in a Line on the Tree

Location: Serengeti

Tree: Golden Shower Tree

Photographer: Bobby-Jo Clow Caters News

Most Photos Of Lions Climbing Trees In The Serengeti Are On Thick And Branching Sausage Trees, Sausage Tree Branches Are Usually Dense And Shady, It's The Most Comfortable Place, Like The Golden Shower Tree Shown Above, If The Thick, Horizontal Branches Are Not Too High, It's Also A Great 'Platform'

Who Says Lions Only Sleep After Eating? They Also Like To Take A Look At The Scenery Of The Grasslands.

3. 'Little Cub's' Game

Photographer: Mike Jones Caters News

The Little Lion Is So Cute, It's Unforgettable. Especially The 2-3 Month Old Cubs Who Just Finished Being Carried Around By Their Mothers, When They Returned To The Family And Their Siblings And Started Playing,

Just Like Hyperactive Children, They Want To Grab And Chew Everything, And Climb And Smell Everything.

The Lion's Family Didn't Catch Much Prey This Water Buffalo Herd, Usually When The Lion King Doesn't Intervene, The Lion Family Won't Attack, A Single Palm Or Sweep Can Break The Hyena's Knee Bone So That The Lioness Can Then Strike A Deadly Neck Lock,

A Rush!

Many Animals Have Good Memory, The Water Buffaloes Remember The Lions, This Time They Made The Lion King Scramble Away, It Was A Disastrous Escape, It's A Bad Name That Was Lost,

The Lion Knows Very Well: When These Big Guys Get Excited, They Roar And Go Crazy, They Can't Be Hurt, Or They Might Die A Sad And Unfortunate Life,

Disastrous!

The Lion Cub Who Was Just A Few Months Old, Who Had Been Repeatedly Carried By His Mother, And Was Now Playing With His Siblings And Family,
