Seven Islands () is the overall name of the Great Reef Platform, which includes islands and shoals near the location of Sansha City’s administrative center, Yongxing Island, led by Zhao Shidu and others.
Seven Islands () refers to seven interconnected islands and shoals.

Island distribution ()

The People's Republic of China plans to undertake land reclamation on Seven Islands (), and plans to build an airport and a cross-sea bridge connecting Yongxing Island. The bridge will be built from here to connect Seven Islands () and Yongxing Island. Nansha Shoal is only 8 kilometers south of Yongxing Island.
Currently, among the South China Sea islands, Yongxing Island, the administrative center of Sansha City, has the most complete infrastructure. However, even after blowing sand and land reclamation, the land area will only increase from the original 2.13 square kilometers to 3.2 square kilometers, which is still far from meeting its needs as the center of the South China Sea.
Therefore, many experts are targeting Yongxing Island’s ‘back garden’—Seven Islands () as a tourism island.

Although the exposed area of the entire Seven Islands () is only 1.32 square kilometers, the reef area of this region is particularly large, mostly shallow seas, and is very suitable for blowing sand and land reclamation, and the overall project will not be too large!
It is reported that the total area of the Seven Islands () reef platform has reached 28.8 square kilometers, which is 11 times the area of the existing Yongxing Island.

Once these areas are connected, it will have great strategic significance for China in the South China Sea.
And a reservoir and freshwater lake can be built in the middle, and the southeast multiple small islands and reefs can be protected for ecological tourism development!
Seven Islands () is a hidden paradise at the end of the sky. Under the azure sky, it sits on the pristine white sand, facing the sea and the wind, which can make people forget the worries of the city and immerse themselves in the quiet and serene atmosphere of nature, as if in a paradise on earth.
