Unique delicacies, endless aftertaste. Here, the water is beautiful and the fish are fat, with abundant freshwater resources nourishing pure breeds of carp, grass carp, bighead carp, rainbow trout, and softshell turtles. Historically, it’s a long-standing legend. Batu Bay is also a revolutionary old district. As early as the 1930s, leaders like Ulaanbaatar, Song Renqiong, and Gao Gang left the flame of revolution here. The story of the Batu Bay guerrilla force is still widely circulated today.
The Shuangjiang Trench (Shuāngjiāng Cháng) has been famous for a long time. Legend has it that during the Eastern Jin Dynasty, Helian Bobo, the founder of the ‘Great Summer Capital’, lived here with his two generals, hence the name. The old revolutionary sites of the Urumqi Municipal Committee’s former office and the militia checkpoint are preserved and open to the public as red tourism sites and patriotic education bases, allowing modern visitors to appreciate the beautiful and picturesque natural scenery while tracing the revolutionary stories and heroic deeds of those who came before.
It's a microcosm of tourism in Saisar Su.
