In the southwestern suburbs of Xi'an, not only is there Kunming Lake from the Book of Songs, but there's also a secluded and idyllic Peach Blossom Village waiting for you.
In the mountains south of Xi'an, two small rivers, Juhe River and Haigou River, flow out from the Qinling Mountains. The two rivers converge at the Xiangji Temple and meander and twist through Chang'an and Hu before merging with the Fen River to the northwest. This water area is 'Chang'an Eight Waters' Juhe River, and the people of Chang'an are accustomed to call it Juhe River, located in the Wuxing Street of Chang'an District, it is also known as Juhe River Five-Star Section.
In 2013 and early 2014, the government invested nearly two hundred million yuan to rely on the water resources of Juhe River, and approximately 940,000 square meters of two-story landscape greening belts were built on both banks of the river. It was officially opened to the public in 2015 and named 'Juhe Ecological Wetland Park'.
The park is 4 kilometers long from east to west and 280-500 meters wide from north to south. Its completion transformed the originally stagnant and smelly Chuiye ditch into a clean and unobstructed riverbank, with clear water quality reaching the standard. It has become a beautiful urban green island and achieved the goals of 'clear water,,green banks,and beautiful scenery'.
To enhance the greenery level and provide citizens with leisure and entertainment experience, the park has built five characteristic landscape plazas, including the High-tech Wing Plaza, the Hundred Birds Plaza, and the Mountain View Leisure Plaza. At the same time, 8 public toilets were built and increased movable public toilets. The use of various trees such as plane trees and shrubs filled the park with green and hope. The,,and seating completed the park's basic service functions. Concrete bike lanes,permeable brick pathways,wooden boardwalks,and water platforms allow citizens to closely experience the original beauty of rivers and lakes.
The park is located west of the West Tai Highway, south of the Samsung Industrial Park, 15 kilometers from West Three Ring Road, and is very convenient for transportation. Standing on the banks of the Juhe River, red flowers and green trees are on both sides, and the shadows of mountains and trees reflect in the lake, which is truly a quiet and picturesque scene!
It was early spring, and a leisurely stroll along the Juhe River was a beautiful sight. Looking out, there were countless green shoots, clear river water, and leisurely fish. The laughter of tourists in the distance broke the tranquility of this water area and startled several wild ducks in the reeds, which flew frantically into the sky, colliding with the blue sky and white clouds. Blue sky, green trees, and clear water formed the impression label of Juhe Ecological Park. The picturesque scenery attracts citizens and tourists to visit and play in all seasons.
A sea of flowers with an area of 160,000 square meters is the most unforgettable sight for citizens and tourists. It is currently the largest flower field around Xi'an, and the varieties planted are carefully selected, such as perennial daisies, Poppies, and Blue Thistle. The flowers are vibrant and colorful, have a long flowering period, and are highly resistant to the environment, and the overall viewing period is more than two months, ensuring that the public can enjoy it to the fullest.
Whenever the spring, summer, and autumn arrive, the flowers in Juhe Park are in full bloom, forming a continuous flowering area of several kilometers, as if a colorful carpet was laid on both sides of the Juhe River. A large number of tourists come to admire the flowers, enjoy the green, and take pictures, immersing themselves in this wonderful place and enjoying the fun of embracing nature.
