Chu Xian Virgin Spring, Come and Admire the Beautiful Scenery

Located in Chaoxuan Town, Hegang County, Weinan, Shaanxi Province, Chu Xian Spring Scenic Area belongs to the Yellow River floodplain wetland. It is one of the largest reed marshes in China and the only wetland-type tourist scenic area in the country, covering an area of 150,000 mu, often called 'The First Marsh in the World'.
The name 'Chu Xian Spring' comes from an ancient local folk custom: before a girl gets married, she has to come here to bathe, letting the clear spring water wash away the dust and fatigue, making her radiant and ready to greet the happiest moment on her life's journey. This is how the spring got its name.

Chu Xian Spring is not a single spring source, but a spring group, with over 10,000 springs of various sizes, from car-wheel-like to ant-hole-sized. The spring water maintains a constant temperature of 31°C, and is rich in strontium, copper, selenium, nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium, which can strengthen the body and prolong life through frequent bathing.

Chu Xian Spring is an important part of the Chaoxuan Wetland Scenic Area. The Chaoxuan scenic area also boasts China's largest reed marsh, covering an area of over 100,000 mu. With a humid climate, abundant water sources, and rich resources, it is known as 'Little Jiangnan'.
