Tax can + Tu Tu Ji

From Yunnan Luifeng County, Guangtong Town, Tax can drive to Luifeng County City. First, take the 322 Provincial Road south, and turn left at Diaoxu Zhuang, heading east on the 320 National Road.

After passing Yilang Town, you enter the Xingxiu River Gorge area, and the scenery becomes more captivating.

Yunnan-Myanmar Highway, 320 National Road

From Yilang, Tax can continue along the 320 National Road to Luifeng County City, this road was once a famous Yunnan-Myanmar Highway, it was completed in 1935, the Kunming to Dali section

However, Tax can suddenly felt confused, discovering that the highway was divided into two across the river, with vehicles traveling to and from each other across the river, the two roads became one-way lines

Later, Tax can learned that the 320 National Road in Xingxiu River Gorge area was divided into two due to land reasons during the expansion and reconstruction, and the two roads walked on both sides of the river, one road was the Yunnan-Myanmar Highway of the past, and the other road was made from the old Yunnan-Myanmar Railway roadbed, both roads are one-way, which is also a scenic spot in Xingxiu River Gorge

Chengkun Railway, Guarding Train

The sun is dazzling, the wind is strong, Tax can only wear a hat, sitting by a loaf of bread and a bottle of mineral water, waiting for the Chengkun Railway train to pass. Luckily, Tax can waited for 20 minutes, and the train passed, Tax can was a little ecstatic

Talking about this Chengkun Railway, it traces back to the 1930s, when the Yunnan-Myanmar Railway was built

In 1935, together with the Yunnan-Myanmar Highway, the Yunnan-Myanmar Railway was also built, and through the hard work of a total of 400,000 people, by 1942, the eastern section of the Yunnan-Myanmar Railway had already laid the tracks from Kunming to Yilang, but in order to prevent the Japanese from invading Southwest China, China reluctantly sacrificed this railway and dismantled it all, in 1958, along the old Yunnan-Myanmar Railway line, the Chengkun Railway was built from Kunming to Yilang, and in 1970, the Chengkun Railway was completed and put into operation

Xingxiu River, Big Flower Bridge

Parking at the service area for rest, next to which is a stone arch bridge built of stone slabs, diagonally across the Xingxiu River, Tax can had heard of it before, this is the Big Flower Bridge that was indispensable for crossing the Yunnan-Myanmar Highway during the years

The Big Flower Bridge was built in 1935 during the construction of the Yunnan-Myanmar Highway, and in 1937 it was converted into a five-span stone arch bridge, it is the longest and largest stone arch bridge on the Yunnan-Myanmar Highway, until 1985, a large four-column three-span stone arch bridge was built south of the old bridge, and since then the old bridge entered idle years, no longer used for vehicle traffic

After 1949, the domestic section of the Yunnan-Myanmar Highway was renamed the Kunzhang Highway, and in 1990, this road was also changed to National Route 320. With the changes of the times and the continuous development of road construction, now the shadow of the old Yunnan-Myanmar Highway is becoming increasingly rare, and this Big Flower Bridge is said to be more precious for carrying that historical experience

Luifeng Dinosaurs

While driving on the road, Tax can suddenly saw tall dinosaur sculptures on the roadside, Tax can quickly stopped to see what was interesting

It turned out to be a landscape rest area, with pavilions, flower beds and small dinosaur sculptures, and a huge dinosaur egg

As early as 1938, Luifeng County discovered the first dinosaur fossil, and later with the emergence of more and more new discoveries, Luifeng has now become one of the most concentrated places in the world for dinosaur fossils and the largest number of preserved dinosaur fossils, dinosaurs are now one of the largest tourism brands of Luifeng County, in Luifeng County south of the Kunchu Expressway about 23 kilometers, there is a famous dinosaur theme park, and in Luifeng County internal Luifeng Dinosaur Museum

This rest area next to the 320 National Road and Xingxiu River, the color of these dinosaur sculptures is vibrant and vivid, it is also a propaganda for Luifeng Dinosaurs
