Jiangsu Launches Post-Epidemic Boutique Tourism Route Collection Activity
In order to cater to the consumption psychology and market demand of post-epidemic people, further promote the ‘Watery Rhyme Jiangsu’ brand, and promote the rapid recovery of the post-epidemic tourism market, the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism launched a Jiangsu post-epidemic boutique tourism route solicitation activity for travel agencies and enterprises across the province. Districts and cities will select travel agencies and enterprises with high product design level, strong reception capacity, and good market reputation, urge them to design and submit application routes, which will be consolidated to the Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, and then evaluated through expert review and combined with online voting to select 30 boutique routes. There will be 5 first-class prizes, 10 second-class prizes, and 15 third-class prizes. The routes winning first, second, and third prizes will be given design subsidies of RMB 30000, RMB 20000, and RMB 10000 respectively.
Jiangsu Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism Party Secretary and Director Yang Zhijun requires the Department to organize and implement it carefully, guide and urge local areas to bring forth good tourism product routes, and to use the implementation situation of this boutique tourism route as an important criterion for rewarding and evaluating travel agencies in 2021. The route will be highlighted in the launch ceremony of ‘Jiangsu Residents Traveling in Jiangsu’ and the ‘‘Watery Rhyme Jiangsu’ Tourism Promotion Double Hundred Action’
Compared with similar activities in previous years, this year’s route solicitation activity has a particularly prominent ‘healing’ characteristic. It focuses on planning tourism product routes that are beneficial for tourists to release pressure, let go of their mood, and for health and fitness; prioritize scenic areas and venues with good ecological environment and fresh air; and highlight rural tourism, ecological tourism, health tourism, and resort tourism product routes.
According to the responsible person of the Tourism Promotion Department, in order to encourage people to travel, the prices of overnight provincial tours sold in the spring and summer this year will be significantly lower than in previous years. In addition, cities are encouraged to utilize the favorable conditions such as the opening of high-speed railways in the Suhangli region and the listing of Yalong Bay’s Yellow Sea migratory bird habitat as a World Natural Heritage site to launch more Suhangli tourism product routes.
