2When entering the airport, first go to the service desk to exchange your flight ticket. Show your ticket and the service staff will exchange it for a boarding pass. It is best to arrive 3 hours before the flight. Find 'International Departure'. First, it may be baggage check, sometimes you need to open the box, and now airlines require all passengers' luggage to be unlocked for inspection. Then find the China International Airlines counter, start queuing to check your ticket, show your passport (bring your itinerary) and then they will give you a boarding pass (each boarding pass has your name and the starting and ending points of the flight in the upper left corner, the middle part has the flight number and departure time) and ship your luggage (if you want to change your seat, you should ask them to help you arrange it). After shipping the luggage, the staff will put a long paper strip (with a barcode) on your luggage and also a small same barcode on your ticket. You must keep this! In general, they will give you a sealed envelope containing all your tickets. Please make it clear that they should use a pen to mark the boarding gate and seat number.
3Before entering Beijing, fill out the exit registration form at the counter. The form is in Chinese, you can ask someone to help you fill it out.
Customs officers will stamp your passport and record the time you leave China. They may sometimes ask questions, truthfully answer. Before entering the waiting area, you will be asked to fill out a security check, generally remove your shoes, remove your outer jackets, take off your watches, take out your mobile phones, keys, coins, etc. If you are wearing a belt, you must loosen it, and then put all the items you carry in your crossbody bag in the conveyor belt box. Enter the security check door (refer to the actions of other passengers), then take back your belongings and enter the designated registration gate to wait.
If you don't know which registration gate to enter, show your boarding pass to inquire with the staff. After you have completed your registration, you should find the waiting area and the boarding gate by following the signs. Usually, the plane takes off 30-40 minutes before departure. Wait for notification.
4When boarding, show your passport and boarding pass.
Business class and first class board first. Most passengers are in economy class and will board later. So don't be impatient when queuing.
5After entering the plane, ask the flight attendant where your seat is and how to go. Confirm your seat number on your seat, and the seat number is on the top of your head.
6Sit down and fasten your seat belt. You can ask the flight attendant or other passengers how to fasten and unfasten, and how to adjust the tightness. (Don't tighten it too much, the seat belts on the plane and in cars are similar). It is best to open your mouth during the takeoff and landing to balance the air pressure and reduce ear ringing and other discomforts.
7Economy class toilets are at the back of the plane, facing away from you. The airplane toilet is gender shared, if there is no one, you can enter, if there are people, you can queue at the door. There are two types of airplane toilets: with a handle, directly enter; without a handle, push the middle, open. Generally, after locking the door, the lights inside will turn on. Toilet paper and hand wipes do not need to be brought by yourself, the toilet has a button to press to make water come out. The faucet is also similar.
8When meals are served (there are three times, early, midday and late, early and late six or seven o'clock, noon 12 o'clock), the flight attendant will distribute food, generally first distribute napkins and drinks. Elderly people can ask for white water or orange juice. Drink plenty of water on the plane, usually the flight attendant will give you water once every two or three hours. If you don't reach the water delivery time, you can ask the flight attendant for a cup of water or an ice-cold orange juice.
During meals, place the meal table down and put the drink and food on it. When the flight attendant delivers the food, they will ask what you want to eat, usually beef rice or chicken rice, depending on your preference. There will be a light on the top of your head, and there will also be a small fan, which is generally not used by Chinese people. After finishing the meal, collect the meal table, turn off the light, you can rest at any time. How to use the meal table and turn on the light, you can ask the flight attendant or other passengers, or refer to the actions of others.
10A blanket will be provided on the plane. Cover yourself when resting. If you feel it's not enough, some people are cold, you can ask the flight attendant to add a blanket. The plane will also provide headphones for watching TV and listening to music. You can adjust the volume and channel by yourself. The volume and channel adjustment buttons are on the side of the seat.
11The seats on the plane can be adjusted forward and backward. After the flight is stable, when you need to rest, adjust the seat backward, press the button on the armrest, and lean back. Press and hold it for a while, and the seat will automatically return to its original position. This adjustment is the same as the adjustment in the car. You can train yourself in the car. If you don't know how to adjust it, ask the flight attendant or other passengers for help.
12After the flight is stable, you can stand up and walk around the back of the plane, usually standing up and walking around once or twice an hour.
13During the flight, the flight attendants will distribute the I-94 form and the customs declaration form. Fill them out and keep them with your passport.
When leaving the customs, hand over the I-94 form, the customs declaration form, your passport and the letter to the immigration officer. The immigration officer will ask you to press your left index finger to collect fingerprints, then press your right index finger to collect fingerprints (similar to the visa process, the fingerprint collection instrument is the same, the fingerprint collection order may be first right index finger, then left index finger).
Then take a photo, you need to face the counter, the immigration officer will automatically collect the photo, you don't need to prepare it specially. If the immigration officer asks other questions, you don't need to answer if you don't speak English. The immigration officer will tear off the upper half of the I-94 form and attach it to your passport for use when you leave customs.
He will also stamp your passport, record the time you entered the United States and the valid stay time (usually 6 months). And hand over your passport, 1-94 page to you (the customs declaration form is generally not returned, if returned, keep it, after receiving luggage, hand over the customs declaration form to the customs inspection personnel). Check and confirm receipt.
14After getting off the plane, queue behind the Chinese crowd, after the yellow line, wait. When it's your turn, take out your passport, I-94 form, customs declaration form, ticket and the letter to the immigration officer, hand it to the window, hand over the I-94 form, the customs declaration form, passport, the letter to the immigration officer.
