The Construction of Fenquan River National Wetland Park is in Full Swing, Which Will Be a Shining Pearl in Southeast Henan
Fenquan River National Wetland Park is located in the territory of Xingcheng City, Henan Province.
This hydrological system is a tributary of the (Huai River), representing a typical Yellow-Huai Plain river network wetland ecosystem.
The entire hydrological system, including wetlands in Xingcheng City's (Guoma Gorge), (Clear River) downstream section, (Changhong Canal), (Gu River), (Fen River), and (Mud River) sections, covers a total area of 1154.55 hectares, with a wetland area of 1020.34 hectares, and a wetland rate of 88.38%.
On February 11, 2014, the State Forest Administration issued a reply, and Xingcheng City's application for Henan Fenquan River Wetlands was successfully approved as a national wetland.
On December 25, 2019, after national audit and acceptance, it officially became Fenquan River National Wetland Park, which is another wetland park in Zhoukou City to join the national level after Huaian Longhu Lake National Wetland Park.
Currently, the construction of Fenquan River National Wetland Park has started and is being built in earnest.
After the completion of the wetland park, it will be a dazzling gem in the southeast of Henan, effectively enhancing Xingcheng City's urban taste and supporting the rapid development of the local cultural and tourism economy.
