Some Thoughts and Suggestions on Enhancing Tourism in Wushan’s Xuan Shui Ping and Xin Pu Town

The tourism resources of Wushan's Xuan Shui Ping and Xin Pu Town are exceptionally unique, with Xuan Shui Ping Village's terraced fields, Chen Jia Ying's crane birds, the Jade Belt River, and Yu Jia Guan gorge landscapes possessing a certain degree of uniqueness and exclusivity. Currently, the cement road has been fully connected, and the enthusiasm of cadres and masses for developing rural tourism has soared unprecedentedly. Under the current situation of vigorously developing whole-area tourism, the following thoughts and suggestions are proposed for the tourism development of Xuan Shui Ping and Xin Pu Town, for reference only.

I. Resources are exceptionally unique,The terraced fields in Xuan Shui Ping Village's Xuan Shui Ping are unique, the Xuan Shui Ping terraced fields are rare worldwide, possessing a certain degree of fame. The Jade Belt River forms two unique bays in Zheng Jia Ying and Xuan Shui Ping, connected by three kilometers of winding mountains and rivers, naturally forming a beautiful Tai Chi Bay, often referred to as the First Bay of the Han River a thousand miles away, it's a remarkable sight.

Hundreds of crane birds live and forage on the Tai Chi Bay's banks in Chen Jia Ying, forming a rare wonder. The cloud-top village – Yu Jia Guan, with terraced mountains and caves connected, shrouded in mist and clouds for years, resembling a fairy kingdom. There is a peacock characteristic breeding farm. The ruins of the Red Army's battle in New Pu Town are still intact, adding another highlight. It's also conveniently located opposite Xuan Shui Ping, and with the Tai Chi Bay's terrain and water, it's a natural viewing platform for watching the Tai Chi Bay.

II. Three Steps to Enhance Tourism,First step: Reasonably plan and build the viewing platforms of Xuan Shui Ping, Yu Jia Guan, Chen Jia Ying crane observation and viewing, and connect them with touring and pedestrian trails. Build parking lots and viewing pavilions, set up tourist toilets, and install tourist guide signs. At the entrance of the 108 National Road to Xuan Shui Ping, a large tourism advertising board should be set up, and traffic signs should be set up at cross roads. Develop Tanggu Stone scenery and flower and vegetable potted plants as tourism souvenirs. Focus on developing farmhouse guesthouses to solve the problem of food and accommodation. Form a basic tourism reception pattern.

Utilize local bamboo resources, and let local craftsmen make screens from bamboo, shaping them into the shape of Xuan Shui Ping's terraced fields, and attach plastic oilseed rape and wheat to make handicrafts.

Second step: With the gradual increase in tourists, expand and renovate the roads to the scenic spots, expand the parking lot construction, the tourist center, and build supporting facilities for the sales of farmhouse specialties. Develop farmhouse guesthouses and farmhouse specialties. Form a basic tourism reception capacity with sightseeing and leisure tourism.

Third step: Based on the previous two steps, with the increase in the popularity of the scenic area and the increase in tourists, develop rural homestays, enhance reception capacity and level. Further excavate cultural connotations, and build a mountain and river scenic area with a focus on photography and painting. When conditions mature, build a pedestrian pathway connecting to the Tai Chi Bay, and integrate Xuan Shui Ping, Chen Jia Ying, Yu Jia Guan and the Tai Chi Bay into a unified management and operation area.

III. Some Suggestions,1. Planning is essential. Hire a professional tourism planning department, create a systematic tourism plan at a high level and with a large scale, and implement it step by step, one by one, avoiding arbitrary actions by officials.

2. Through various channels and forms, such as holding 'Photography Painting Cultural Art Festivals', promote 'Earth's Wonders - Xuan Shui Ping Terraced Fields', 'Thousand-Mile Han River First Bay – New Pu Tai Chi Bay', 'Wonder of the World – Chen Jia Ying Crane Base' brand, and strengthen promotion and sales to increase influence and fame.

3. Through project funding, quickly list the scenic area as a key project in provincial, municipal and county rural tourism development plans, and seek funding support.

4. The county government should take the lead, integrate funding for tourism development points with poverty alleviation and rural construction projects, and focus on funding investment in tourism, transportation, forestry, water affairs, agriculture, and rural construction.

5. During the planning and construction process, firmly attach importance to and highlight the scenic area's cultural positioning, effectively protect the ecological environment, prevent behavioral deviation and ecological damage.
