Jingxi Taqing Hao Qu Chu - Niukouyu Wetland Park
Friends invited a trip during the holiday, requiring a small number of people for convenience and beautiful environment. After several negotiations, they finally chose this place: Niukouyu Wetland Park.
Previously, it was the place where the Yan Mountain wastewater accumulated, now it is a place for leisure and tourism. Located at the junction of Taihang Mountains and North China, it features rushing waterfalls and streams, winding bridges and pavilions, ducks swimming and boats drifting, and vast reed fields and waterways. It's like a painting with birds and natural charm, offering tranquility.
Niukouyu Reservoir used to be a wastewater oxidation pond, with wastewater from Yanhua Petrochemical processed and discharged. Now, the results of the environmental restoration are significant, making it an ideal habitat for birds. Every mid-December, it's undoubtedly a stopover for tens of thousands of migratory birds.
The park's low pond is planted with high-purification and high-tolerance aquatic plants such as reeds, water moss, water celery, and slender spike rush; it also has submerged plants like fox tail algae, eye-shaped vegetables, and black leaf algae, used to deeply purify the water quality.
Every mid-December, several thousand migratory birds will pass through Beijing. You can see black storks, white storks, teal, oriental ibis, finches, eagles, and falcons here.
Specifically, teal requires clear water, and the male teal has a blue beak, while the female teal has a red one. Teal catches fish and turns its head to the fish to eat it, and its tail faces its nest to feed its babies (the children listened to this and were particularly excited!).
Here are some tips for reference: 1. The park is free, parking is 10 yuan per time, unlimited time. 2. Boat open time 8:30-18:30, ticket sales stop at 17:30. Ticket price 60-80 yuan/hour, please see the picture for details! 3. Every December, it's a great place to shoot migratory birds, with two shooting studios, and the camera equipment fee is 80 yuan/day (including a boxed lunch).
During the trip, ask the children: What poems will this place and scene evoke? The children answer casually: Jadeite forms a high tree, with thousands of green ribbons hanging down. Bamboo outside peach blossoms, spring river water warms ducks first know. Then ask, answer: Outside the mountain road, the green river in front, the mountain is green, the flowers are about to burn.
The wind blows, ask myself, the poems in my mind are: Willows scatter and wind, mountains and streams are calm and I don't think about it.
