One Stream Falls from Heaven, God Dragon Deep Water Palace

The great mountains of this land stand majestic and imposing, like the Tai Shan itself. Tai Shan surpasses all in its profound depth. What is sublime and beautiful, is the West River alone.

The West River rests on the right flank of the Tai Shan; it stretches for dozens of miles, the trees cast cool shadows, the steps are rugged, the clear springs reveal strange and wondrous rocks and glistening treasures. The further one travels, the more wondrous the mountain and the more beautiful the scenery.

At the end of the West River, the precipice is a hundred zhang (zhang is a traditional Chinese unit of measure) high, with streams hanging down like shimmering silk, a spectacle called 'Heavenly Gentleman's Springs.' To the west of Heavenly Gentleman's Springs, there is a vast chasm; a river falls from Tian Sheng (Heavenly Gentleman) Rock, scattering into countless pools, and above them, waterfalls resembling hanging dams – the Water Curtain Cave.

Furthermore, there are peaks like lotus blossoms, suspended knives, flying crows, and lions, carved with lush green foliage;Black Dragon and White Dragon God Temples are hidden beneath the waters below,Clouds and mist rise and fall, obscuring and revealing, pebbles leap and splash, thunder, lightning, and rain clash and roll; there is much that cannot be described – it is truly the hidden palace and mysterious realm of the mountains, a region of infinite wonders.
