Spring Blooms, As Promised! Tai'anzhuang Ancient City Officially Reopens
On March 28th, the Tai'anzhuang Ancient City Scenic Area held a grand opening ceremony at the West City Gate, featuring performances such as dragon and lion dances, bamboo horse racing, and intangible cultural heritage shows. The ancient city officially opened to welcome visitors.
With the sound of drums, a pair of lions emerged from the city and danced passionately on the bridge at the West City Gate, marking the beginning of the event. The Ancient City Fire Brigade, Inshore Boat Department, Exhibition Department, Security Department, and Interpretation Department successively arrived at the bridgehead and showcased the city’s new image through gestures, body movements, bows, and slogans, extending a sincere invitation. Subsequently, actors in Qing Dynasty costumes arrived at the bridgehead and stood still, with the Qing Dynasty actor taking his first step, beginning to read ‘Tai'anzhuang Ancient City Opening Ode,’ and offering blessings and good fortune. Following the sound of drums and gongs, the city gate slowly opened, and visitors began to cross the bridge to the West Gate, watching a dragon dance performance.
Outside the Five Elements Pier, dragon boats and gondolas lined up, facing the Boyun Corridor Bridge, and sounded off, creating a spectacular and impressive scene. At the Commander-in-Chief Pier, boat girls rowed rocking boats, singing moving ballads, and slowly moving along the river, symbolizing the smooth opening and good luck.

After the opening, ‘Huo Long Gang Hua,’ ‘Wan Jia Xia Jie Throwing Shuttle,’ ‘Lunan Shadow Puppetry,’ and performances of opera and acrobatics regularly, bringing a wonderful performance feast to visitors.
Tai'anzhuang Ancient City is full of spring, with peach blossoms, plum blossoms, Forsythia, Jinhu, Magnolia, and Plum Yulan flowers successively blooming, creating a beautiful and vibrant scene throughout the scenic area, marking the most beautiful time of the year. To ensure the safety of visitors, the ‘Public Safety Management Norms of Tai’anzhuang Ancient City Scenic Area’ are strictly enforced, with daily visitor reception not exceeding 50% of the maximum load capacity (limited to 55,850 visitors per day). Visitors entering the scenic area must wear masks, show their health codes, and undergo temperature checks and registration.
To provide visitors with a safe, healthy, and comfortable tourism environment, Tai'anzhuang Ancient City implements a registration system, implements flow control, and encourages online ticket booking or scanning QR codes for purchase, offering contactless services. It also comprehensively conducts daily cleaning and disinfection in all areas. Dedicated mobile service personnel conduct roaming services to ensure visitors have a safe, comfortable, and worry-free tour after the opening.
A free ticket and half-price inshore boat ticket policy is implemented for all medical workers nationwide, with the validity period extended until December 31, 2024. The policy formedical personnel is extended until December 31, 2024. The ‘Winter Tour to Qilu’ discount policy (original price of 160 yuan per person, currently discounted at 120 yuan per person) is valid until April 28, 2020. During this period, purchasing tickets for an additional 20 yuan can upgrade to a full-year tourism card, allowing unlimited visits to the city and other scenic areas within one year.
