Off-the-Beaten-Path Destinations: Meng Hao City and Zhe Le Lake, Few People and Pleasant Scenery

Meng Hao City, during the Three Kingdoms period, was the place where Zhuge Liang captured Meng Hao seven times. The name always made me think it was a city with a lot of history. In fact, it is an endless mountain grassland and an area where giant pandas have returned. 'The sky is vast, the wilderness is boundless. The wind blows low over the grass, revealing cattle and sheep.' This describes the scenery I see in Meng Hao City.
It's often said, 'Open Meng Hao City, and there are endless people in the world.' Legend has it that there is an inexhaustible treasure buried under Meng Hao City and amazing historical sites. To be honest, this lost treasure is the endless scenery of the place. Endless grasslands, lush forests, winding paths… everything is a treasure.
Here is China's largest high-altitude grassland in the southwest. The grassland is of good quality, from the spring flowers blooming to the scorching summer sun, all kinds of flowers bloom from the trees to the ground, competing for beauty, with colorful colors covering the grasslands. In autumn, the fallen petals are colorful, the grasslands are vast and desolate; in winter, it is covered with silver snow, pure and flawless, with the beauty of four seasons.
Red Stone Beach is always shrouded in mist, and the banks are lined with red stones arranged in order. These red stones change with the weather, sometimes red and sometimes reddish-brown. It's beautiful. Legend has it that before Zhuge Liang's seventh capture of Meng Hao, the defeated Meng Hao, without the protection of the sacred tree, retreated step by step, and the blood of the soldiers dyed the rocks on the mountains red. Meng Hao's tears became the river in front of him. In the primitive forest of Meng Hao City, there is a crescent-shaped lake, quietly lying here. The lake is named 'Moon Lake'. In spring, the surrounding peach blossoms bloom in competition, with endless seas of flowers; in autumn, the red leaves are like fire, colorful, and the lake is like an emerald embedded in the mountains; in winter, it is covered with ice and snow, with a thick layer of white snow, which is soft and light, with a different beauty.
Starting from Meng Hao City, there is also a popular tourist resort – Zhe Le Lake. Here, almost the original natural scenery is preserved. The lake water is azure blue, surrounded by primitive forests, and the snow-capped mountains reflect in the water. There are also vast grasslands and herds of cattle and sheep. It is called 'Little Switzerland in the East'. The most beautiful and playable season is from June to September, and you can enjoy the scenery of an idyllic paradise.
