Introduction to Xingyi City, Guizhou Province
Xingyi City belongs to Guizhou Province, located at the junction of Guizhou, Yunnan and Guangxi provinces, and is the capital of the ( -) autonomous prefecture. It is connected to Anlong County in the same province to the east, to Jinping City in Yunnan Province to the west, to Biling City in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region to the south, and to Panan County, Xingren County and Panzai County in the same province to the north. The Pangjiang River runs through the city, and has historically been a commercial hub and strategic pass connecting the three provinces. It is known as 'Three Provinces Hub'. It is an important node city on the China Southwest Outbound Sea Route. A national first-class new energy demonstration city, a national first-class comprehensive tourism demonstration zone, and a national new urbanization comprehensive pilot area. It is the birthplace of Guizhou spirit and a key industrial development demonstration area in Guizhou Province.
The State Council responded to the 'Zuojiang Revolutionary Old District Revitalization Plan', Xingyi as a revolutionary old district, was established as a regional cooperation center for Guizhou, Yunnan and Guangxi, an ecological livable city, a regional transportation hub, a new energy city, a trade and logistics center, and a tourism resort destination, and a modern service industry open trial area.
Xingyi City has been awarded numerous honors, including China's Excellent Tourism City, National Two Favors Model City, National New Energy Demonstration City, and China's Best Leisure Tourism City. It is the permanent venue and host city of the International Mountain Tourism Conference.
In December 2018, Xingyi was ranked 62nd in the 2018 National County Economic Comprehensive Competitiveness Top 100 list.
