Changhan Lake of Songyuan 'Wakes Up'! The Lake Surface Has Become 'Busy' with Migratory Birds
In March, the ice of Changhan Lake gradually melted, welcoming numerous migratory birds to breed and play in the surrounding wetlands. On the morning of the 27th, reporters saw hundreds of wild ducks, white-backed ducks, and other migratory birds feeding, chasing, and playing on the water's surface. Large stork-like migratory birds would occasionally fly out of the reeds, bringing vitality and life to early Changhan Lake.

It is reported that Changhan Lake belongs to the inland wetland and water ecological system type nature reserve. The reserve has abundant water sources and rich food, with many nesting birds. Changhan Lake Nature Reserve currently has 15 orders and 34 families of 239 bird species, with 13 families and 116 species of waterfowl, including 9 species of national level protected birds such as the Oriental White Stork, White Stork, Black-necked Crane, White Crane, White-headed Crane, Golden Eagle, and 35 species of national level secondary protected birds such as the Swan, Gray Crane, and Sparrow Hawk.

In recent years, Changhan Lake Nature Reserve has continuously increased its protection and management efforts, reducing human interference, and the bird species composition and numbers in Changhan Lake have increased significantly.
