Hangzhou Daily News: Yu Huang Shan, as one of the 'Yu Huang Fei Yun' scenic spots in the New West Lake's Ten Wonders, is deeply loved by citizens and tourists. The number of people climbing the mountain for fitness and sightseeing from morning to night is endless.
Yesterday, reporters learned from the Municipal Management and Supervision Bureau Lighting Center that the Yu Huang Shan Scenic Trail Lighting Upgrade Project has recently been launched, improving the nighttime travel environment and eliminating walking safety hazards. The project is expected to be completed before the end of May, allowing night runners to climb Yu Huang Shan safely!
It is reported that since 2018, the Hangzhou Municipal Management and Supervision Bureau Lighting Center has installed more than 220 streetlights on the Yu Huang Shan mountain road, solving the problem of insufficient basic lighting on the mountain road and ensuring driving safety. However, the night lighting on the Yu Huang Shan scenic trail was not bright, which made citizens and tourists who always wanted to walk and exercise and enjoy the view regret it. Therefore, they called for the lighting to be upgraded.
The Hangzhou Municipal Management and Supervision Bureau Lighting Center revealed that the upgrade project covers approximately 5 kilometers of scenic trail, from the north entrance to the Zi Lai Cave, and also covers the parking lot and other public areas. The plan is to use courtyard lights and wall lights, with spotlights added to some areas. This upgrade project has adopted several new technologies, making the lighting more green, safe and smart. The lamps have infrared microwave sensing, and when people approach the lamps, the street lights will automatically turn on, and when people move away, they will automatically dim, achieving energy conservation and emission reduction.
At the same time, since 2018, the Lighting Center has also upgraded the intelligent control box on Yu Huang Shan, which provides interfaces for monitoring, traffic lights and public bicycle shelters for municipal facilities. The internal configuration includes electrical automatic fire suppression devices.
