Visiting the Cradle of Chinese Gardens
Suzhou's gardens are renowned throughout China, with (Zhuozheng Garden) being the most representative of Jiangnan gardens and the largest classical Chinese landscape garden. It's hailed as 'the mother of Chinese gardens' and a must-see destination for any trip to Jiangnan!

Zhuozheng Garden is characterized by its use of water, with expansive water surfaces offering a serene and simple beauty. It centers around a pool, with pavilions, halls, and terraces built around it, connected by windows, corridors, and walkways. The garden's mountains, ancient trees, bamboo, and flowers create a tranquil and distant scene, representing the architectural style of Ming Dynasty gardens. Walking through the garden, listening to the locals' soft, flowing Wu dialect, feels like stepping back in time, and the image of Lin Daiyu frequently appears in one's mind.

The Suzhou Museum is located adjacent to Zhuozheng Garden, making it a perfect combination for a day trip – visiting the garden and then the museum is just right.
